Guest Services exists to create a great experience for everyone who joins us for a Sunday service. Guest Services volunteers serve our church by greeting every guest as they enter the building, serving coffee and doughnuts in the Café, and providing assistance in the Book Resource Center. These volunteers are on the frontlines of ministry here at North Hills and help set the mood for a guest’s visit.
We are dedicated to teaching kids about Jesus on their level. Volunteers can serve in the Little Steps nursery, Kidstuff (for K5 – 4th grade), or Treehouse (for 5th and 6th grade). There are opportunities for teaching, as well as for acting, leading worship, preparing snacks and games, and more. Additionally, our Child Check-in Team welcomes families and ensures every child is checked-in to their age-appropriate classroom.
ALIVE Student Ministry
Alive Student Ministry exists to help middle and high school students find and follow Jesus. A primary way that volunteers serve at Alive is by leading a Life Group. Life Groups are small groups of students and leaders that meet immediately after teaching to discuss how to apply God’s Word to their lives and also meet voluntarily throughout the week. Additional serving opportunities include check-in, worship leading and tech team, crowd control, and dollar dinner.
Trained volunteers called “lay counselors” serve the congregation in their place of need. Lay counselors help others apply the truth of the Gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit in areas of sin and suffering such as anxiety, depression, marital struggles, and relationships.
Technicians serve the body by providing support in the areas of audio, video, and presentation. Each week, the congregation benefits from their expertise. Additionally, via the website and podcast thousands of people listen to the sermons around the world.
The North Hills Worship Team is composed of musicians, vocalists and songwriters who lead the congregation in various elements of corporate worship every Sunday.
