Peter Hubbard has been serving as the Teaching Pastor since North Hills Church began. He was married to Karen for 38 wonderful years, but in 2026 the Lord called her home after a 5-
year battle with cancer (Click here to watch part of Karen’s homegoing service). Peter has four adult children, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren! He has two Master’s Degrees and has earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. Peter experienced God’s saving grace through Jesus at a horse ranch in Canada, and as a young teenager, he returned to that ranch each summer, growing in his faith. His life verse is 2 Timothy 1:9, “Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.”
God’s purpose and grace continue to energize Peter to preach through the Scriptures, listening carefully to what God says and how his Spirit applies his Word to the hidden, hurting places in
our hearts. He loves to see the transforming power of the gospel shine into the darkest, most difficult struggles of his own heart, and then to share this renewing power with others.
For fun Peter might read, exercise, or play with his grandkids. Recently he can also be found learning to cook while watching a football game.
