Refugee International Students

Give of your time or resources to welcome refugees and international students to the Upstate.

Here's Why

One of the sweetest parts of life is making a connection with someone you normally would not have the chance to meet. Perhaps they’re from a different background or race than you. Maybe they’re a stranger from a different country.

But when you make that connection

you build a bridge. You have a pathway to their perspectives and values, and they to yours. And more often than not, you learn from each other.

iFace ministries in Greenville connects international students with culturally sensitive Americans who enjoy building bridges through cross-cultural relationships.

If you’re interested in this sweet work of building bridges and making new international friends without ever leaving the U.S., consider volunteering with iFace. For more information or to get involved with iFace, please email NHC member Katie Gibson Si at katie.gibson@iface.org.

North Hills members

While some North Hills members volunteer with iFace, a few other members serve with World Relief, helping refugees as they adjust to life in the US. They are currently looking for volunteers to partner with a refugee family in order to serve them as needed and build relationships with them. If you’re interested in knowing more, please contact Nathan at nathana@northhillschurch.com.
