Having lived in the Upstate his entire life, Matt knows and loves the people and places of Greenville. Matt was among the first members of NHC in 1991, and he continues to serve as an elder and the Pastor of Counseling Ministries. With over 20 years of pastoral ministry experience, he endeavors to face conflicts and challenges in a way that builds people up and leads them closer to Christ.
Matt and Katie met on a blind date in 1999, and married 15 months later. They have three children, Jake, Molly, and Andy. They love to travel, especially to the American West and to America’s National Parks. Matt enjoys cooking, hunting, roasting coffee, gardening, and reading history.
