July 7 – Good Fruit/Bad Fruit

  • We often are bombarded with anxious thoughts, feelings of regret, and shame and have a desire to break free from these lies. In this  workshop, we will learn to identify the lies that we believe and to exchange those lies for God’s truth.

 

July 14 – Practical Strategies: When I Am Afraid 

  • Lynn Adams & Ruthie Smith
  •  For kids ages 6-12 and their parents (children must be accompanied by a parent!
  • Come and learn kid-friendly tips and tools they can do when they are fearful, including how parents can help. This workshop will include a kid-friendly description of anxiety, kid-friendly grounding skills, simple scripture memory verses.

 

July 21 – Anxiety, Social Media, and the Believer: How to Live with the Elephant in the Room

  • We live in an immersive social media environment rich with screens, apps, and devices. How does this digital-immersive environment promote anxiety and what can Christians do about it?

 

July 28 – Anxiety Q&A 

  • Melody Homsher, Matt Nestberg, Amber Bateman, & Andy Henderson
  • It is so difficult to answer every question about a broad topic like “anxiety” in a short preaching series. Because of that, we are giving an extra opportunity to have some of your questions answered about the subject during a Q&A time provided by our counseling department.
