Local Outreach

We believe that outreach is the Holy Spirit-empowered response to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. As new creations in Christ, we can love God exclusively with our whole beings, we can selflessly love other people, and we can effectively proclaim the Gospel that is the power of God unto salvation. It is our desire to call the people of North Hills to move toward the spiritually lost or disconnected in Greenville, to equip them with the Word of God to live and give the Gospel, and to send them where they live, work, and play to make disciples who make disciples.

As a church we reach out to children and families at Brook Glenn Elementary School through Good News Club and SCORE Summer Camp. We minister to broken and addicted adults through mentoring at Piedmont Women’s Center and Miracle Hill Ministries. We also facilitate personal ministry through Gospel Outreach grants that help fund new ministries and local outreach projects.

What is SCORE Summer Camp?
SCORE Summer Camp is an outreach to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders from Brook Glenn Elementary School. It meets from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on weekdays. Certified teachers re-teach math and language arts from the grade the children just finished at school. This allows the students to enter their next school year with confidence that they are ready to tackle the next grade. Afternoons at SCORE are focused on life skills, Bible class, chores and learning how to swim!

Global Outreach

North Hills Missions exists to take the gospel to every tribe, tongue, people, and nation on earth.  We long to affect the least-reached people groups, combine ministries of proclamation with ministries of mercy, empower indigenous people to reach their own communities, provide training and resources that serve the kingdom of God, and serve the world through humility and obedience.

We currently support 15 missionary families working in all the major continents. Roughly two-thirds of our missionaries serve in closed countries where there is hostility toward the gospel. For this reason, we don’t list their names or photos online.

We also partner with Compassion International church-to-church venues in El Salvador and Ethiopia, and we encourage families in the church to sponsor children through Compassion and Set-Free Alliance.

North Hills is engaged in equipping local pastors in Ethiopia and Colombia to rightly divide the Word of Truth in their countries.

We also provide ways for members to serve in short-term missions. In recent years we have sent short-term teams to Ecuador, Colombia, Slovenia, Romania, Macedonia, and Russia.
