Homosexuality and the Bible – Resources

For those of you who would like to explore some of the information discussed on Sunday, July 3, here are some recommended resources:

Robert Gagnon (degrees from Harvard and Princeton) is a recognized authority on this subject.  If you go to his website you will find many resources, debates, books, etc.  Anyone who desires to demonstrate that homosexuality is consistent with the Bible must reckon with Gagnon’s writings.

“A New Testament Perspective on Homosexuality by Thomas Schriner.

The Complete Christian Guide to Understanding Homosexuality by Joe Dallas and Nancy Heche.

Issues Facing Christians Today, 4th Edition by John Stott, pages 443-484. ( This is extremely readable and helpful.)

Don’t Call It a Comeback, ed. by Kevin DeYoung, chapters 13 and 15.

Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth by Jeffrey Satinover. (Dr. Satinover is a psychiatrist who holds degrees from MIT, Harvard, and the University of Texas.  I think he is Jewish.  This is an excellent work.)
